Dude the bottom line is a coach told the kid to change cleats he didn't. He didn't. He is off the team. That's why I am defending a coach. You are only defending him because pink is a pansy color. If it was any other color and he disobeyed the coach would you be defending him?

Also where does it say that's the reason the coach did that? You are making the story up as you go.

You seem to not want to face the fact the coach let him wear them during a game. Also the fact this is about a kid disobeying the coach. It doesnt matter what the reason if a coach tells you to do something you do it.

He was kicked off for wearing them after a coach asked him to remove them. That is why he is kicked off. You all seem to forget the coach let him wear them during the game? No pat on the back for old coach for doing that? So is the coach just suppose to let everyone do their thing. Hell why even have a coach if the kids don't need to listen?

Even if it was just the pink cleats. What coach would want a kid on the field looking like a pansy? If he would have wanted that he would have incorporated pink into the teams colors. I'm sure the other cleats probably didn't stand out as much as the pink one.


So let me ask you this. Why couldnt the kid just say OK coach I will change them and thanks for letting me wear them during the game. I'm sure that would meant a lot to my grandmother.

The more I think about it the kid sound liek an ungrateful little ***** with a closet full of cleats when plenty of other kids would love to have one pair of.

Did you not hear where it said that he *****ed the team out about it during halftime of the game? Yeah, let's give him credit for being a total douche when his team is doing the right thing. It's called "breast cancer awareness MONTH" btw, maybe that's why the kid wanted to wear them more and what the **** is the problem with wearing them during practice.

Of course, why didn't the kid just say that? Dammit. I'm pretty sure the kid said that he told the coaches that he would do it after practice, since that was the only cleats he had with him, but they couldn't even wait for that.

They were his old cleats genius, ones he's had over the years, not different ones he wears every other game. Soooo ungrateful. lmao. Whole argument for the coach is a ****ing joke.

Here it goes...When in life you have a coach, boss, parent, etc, and they tell you what to do, you do it or suffer the consequences. Now you can go ahead and disobey your superior, but be ready to get kicked off the team, fired at the work site, or my favorite, get your ass whipped. Its all about chain of command and obeying rules. End of argument for people that believe in rules and regulations. Now, R13 can argue all he wants against this which I never doubted he would but it doesnt change the fact. It doesnt matter if the coach told the kid to jump on one foot while patting his head, if he doesnt obey and the coach doesnt discipline him for it then there is no respect for anything the coach says.

The kid should have never been asked to remove the cleats in the first place.
1. He has worn several different colored cleats in the past.
2. The player is wearing the cleats in support of breast cancer awareness (anybody here think that's not a good cause?) and to show support of his grandmother (a breast cancer survivor) who had given him the cleats (who here could tell their grandma that they couldn't wear the cleats after all she's been through?)
3. I'm sure the guy was conscious of the fact that his coach didn't want him to wear the cleats, but probably chose to wear them because he felt this cause was more important than a game. Admittedly, this is an assumption that I'm making here...but it's not too much of a stretch.
4. Why would any coach have a problem with this? As others have said, professional and collegiate sports teams are doing the same thing all over the country.

Thus, I feel comfortable in drawing the conclusion that this guy's coach is a douche.

Again I'm really puzzled how anyone, even the dumbest, can take this guys side who not only acted like a moron over something like this(which I find disgusting for him to do or anyone to defend him being upset about it) then defending kicking the kid off the team for his senior season.

The guy *****ed the entire team out during halftime of the game and most ended up taking it off because they were afraid. Then the kid wears the cleats to practice the next day, was asked to take them off, the kid said he would but after practice(probably didn't have any other cleats with him) and was then kicked off of the team right there. What the hell is the big deal about him wearing them in practice anyway? His teammates obviously didn't care, there was no set rules, that line "what statement is he going to make in practice?"...well who's he going to bother or "look bad" in front of in practice either?

So what was the causes he was supporting with the other cleats. Hey R-13 can you give the coach props for allowing the kid to wear them during the game? Or are you just gonna say he *****ed at halftime. Plenty of ass chewings come at halftime.

Kid should have listened to the coach. By not doing so he let his team down. I'm sure nothing in the team rules grants them right to make statements. Breast cancer is awful. Matter of fact any kinda of cancer is awful, but the kid should have ok'd stuff with the coach before hand. He should have listened to what he was told.
